These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LUMERA website, products, and services. LUMERA is a brand operated by BoldStep Inc. (“LUMERA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing our website, purchasing a LUMERA Personal Blueprint, or otherwise using our services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to offer our products and Services to you.
1. About LUMERA
LUMERA provides personalized digital reports inspired by traditional Chinese cultural frameworks, including concepts associated with BaZi (Four Pillars), combined with modern technology and AI-assisted interpretation.
The LUMERA Personal Blueprint is a customized digital product created using information submitted by each customer.
Our products are designed for cultural exploration, self-reflection, personal insight, and entertainment purposes. They are not intended to provide guaranteed predictions or professional advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use a LUMERA Personal Blueprint.
By placing an order, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
3. Digital Product
The LUMERA Personal Blueprint is a personalized digital product.
No physical product will be shipped.
Your report will be delivered electronically using the delivery method stated at the time of purchase, which may include delivery by email or access through another digital delivery method.
Any delivery timeframe displayed on our website is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise. Delays may occasionally occur due to technical issues, incomplete customer information, processing requirements, or other circumstances reasonably outside our control.
If you have not received your report within the stated or reasonably expected delivery timeframe, please contact support@boldstepinc.com.
4. Information You Provide
To create your Personal Blueprint, we may ask you to provide information including:
- Date of birth
- Birth time
- Birth city, country, or location
- Time zone information where applicable
- Gender or pronouns, if requested or voluntarily provided
- Other information reasonably required to personalize your report
You are responsible for reviewing the information you submit and ensuring that it is accurate and complete.
Because your Personal Blueprint is generated using the information you provide, inaccurate or incomplete information may affect the resulting report.
If a report is generated using incorrect information submitted by you, this is generally not considered an error by LUMERA. We may, at our discretion, offer correction or regeneration where reasonably possible.

5. AI-Assisted and Automated Processing
LUMERA may use artificial intelligence, automation, software tools, and third-party technology services to assist with the creation, processing, review, formatting, and delivery of Personal Blueprint reports.
AI-assisted systems may generate interpretations based on the information provided and the frameworks used by LUMERA.
Artificial intelligence and automated systems are not infallible. Outputs may contain limitations, variations, or errors, and interpretations may differ depending on methodology and context.
Where appropriate, LUMERA may use human review or quality-control processes, but we do not guarantee that every report will be manually reviewed unless expressly stated at the time of purchase.
6. Nature and Limitations of the Personal Blueprint
The Personal Blueprint provides interpretive and reflective content inspired by traditional Chinese cultural concepts.
It does not provide certainty about future events and should not be understood as a factual prediction, guarantee, or promise concerning your future, personality, relationships, career, finances, health, or other life outcomes.
Different practitioners, systems, methodologies, or AI models may interpret similar information differently.
Your Personal Blueprint should therefore be considered one perspective for reflection rather than an objective or definitive assessment.
7. No Professional Advice
LUMERA does not provide:
- Medical or healthcare advice
- Mental health or psychological advice
- Legal advice
- Financial or investment advice
- Tax advice
- Employment or career counseling
- Relationship counseling
- Other regulated professional services
Nothing contained in a Personal Blueprint or elsewhere in the Services should be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions.
If you are making an important decision involving health, safety, finances, legal rights, employment, or another significant matter, you should consult an appropriately qualified professional.
8. Orders and Payment
Prices are displayed on our website at the time of purchase and may change from time to time.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and payment information.
Payments may be processed by Shopify and/or third-party payment providers. Your use of those payment services may also be subject to the applicable provider’s terms and privacy practices.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, unauthorized payment, technical error, abuse of the Services, or inability to fulfill the order.
If we cancel a paid order before providing the purchased product, we will provide an appropriate refund where required.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Because the Personal Blueprint is customized digital content created using information supplied by each customer, cancellation and refund eligibility depends in part on whether personalized processing has begun.
If you request cancellation before personalized processing begins, we will review whether the order can reasonably be cancelled.
Once personalized processing has begun, change-of-mind refunds are generally not available, subject to rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If there is a genuine problem with your order, such as duplicate charging, non-delivery, an inaccessible or corrupted file, a material processing error caused by LUMERA, or a material failure to match the product description, please contact us.
Depending on the circumstances, we may provide correction, regeneration, replacement delivery, a full or partial refund, or another appropriate remedy.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Intellectual Property
The Services and their contents, including the LUMERA name, branding, logos, website design, text, graphics, report structure, original written content, templates, visual materials, and other materials created or owned by LUMERA or BoldStep Inc., are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Unless otherwise stated, all applicable rights are reserved.
Purchasing a Personal Blueprint gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use your delivered report for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may download, save, and print your report for personal use.
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- Reproduce or distribute our reports commercially
- Resell a Personal Blueprint
- Copy or reproduce substantial portions of our proprietary report structure or content for commercial use
- Represent LUMERA content as your own commercial product
- Use our trademarks, branding, or proprietary materials in a manner that suggests unauthorized affiliation or endorsement
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of LUMERA intellectual property to you.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services:
- For unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive purposes
- To interfere with the security or operation of the website
- To introduce malicious code, malware, or other harmful technology
- To attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or information
- To scrape, extract, or systematically collect content in violation of applicable law or our rights
- To impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- To infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of another person
- To misuse the Services in a manner that could reasonably harm LUMERA, BoldStep Inc., our service providers, or other users
We may restrict or terminate access to the Services where reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, abuse, fraud, security risks, or material violations of these Terms.
12. Third-Party Services
Our Services rely on third-party providers, which may include Shopify, payment processors, email providers, cloud services, AI and automation providers, analytics services, and other technology providers.
We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or services that we do not control.
Links to third-party services do not necessarily constitute endorsement of those services.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
13. Service Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services from time to time.
We do not guarantee that the website or Services will always be available without interruption, delay, technical error, or maintenance.
We may also update product features, report formats, designs, technologies, or processes as LUMERA develops.
Changes will not affect statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- A Personal Blueprint will predict future events
- Any interpretation will be objectively correct or universally accepted
- A particular outcome will occur as a result of using the Services
- The Services will always be uninterrupted or error-free
- The Services will meet every individual expectation or subjective preference
Nothing in this section excludes warranties, consumer guarantees, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LUMERA and BoldStep Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar losses arising from or relating to your use of, or reliance on, the Services where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
You are responsible for decisions or actions you take based on interpretive content contained in your Personal Blueprint.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless BoldStep Inc., LUMERA, and their officers, directors, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your material violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
This section does not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
17. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and otherwise process personal information, including information submitted for creation of your Personal Blueprint.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our Services, business practices, technology, or applicable legal requirements.
The updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised “Last updated” date.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.
Changes will not retroactively remove rights that you already have under applicable law.
19. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Services are governed by applicable laws, without excluding or limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply to you based on your place of residence or other applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms requires you to waive any jurisdiction, consumer protection, or statutory right that cannot lawfully be waived.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed where appropriate, without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other policies or terms expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing your use of the Services, except where additional terms are expressly agreed between you and LUMERA.
